Brutal photo but it's impossible not to delight in the colors - the red/purple/blue bruise and the cap/sweater. The boy's determined expression also says that there's nothing exploitative or abusive about this photo. We all get whacked from time to time and most of us have had black eyes and survived. Great photo!
